Oil in Washington isn't really necessary because the temperatures here don't get low enough to make heat pumps struggle.

I'm not above getting dirty, and I do all my own electrical and most of my HVAC work, as well as welding and roofing.  

HGTV never shows anyone shoveling their flip's sidewalk in negative temperatures so the neighbors don't complain to the city.  

@Lisa M. given the temperatures outside, assuming it is in DC, you are talking near 100F.

I am so far into welding tho that I don't wanna to just leave it just like that.

When it's cold outside, measure the temperature of your exterior walls with an infrared temperature gun.  

So I could do work on the boiler to make sure it's as efficient as possible, make sure all the radiators are functioning, and make sure the thermostat is always set to a reasonable temperature. 

The shades, doorbell, temperature and more can be controlled by voice or device.
