The current home i own it for almost 3 years, we repainted it, replaced the HVAC and water heater.

The other unit was done 4 years ago, but has been repainted and still looks to be in excellent shape.

I am wondering if repair and then repaint or repair then put cement board up would be the best solution for outside?

It actually made the wall easier to paint when we repainted the bathroom.

Blue 70s carpet in the main room will be removed and the hardwood floor refinished ($650), the kitchen floor will be replaced ($400), the through-the-wall A/C is toast ($500), blinds, fan, and light fixtures will be brought into this century ($250), a keypad deadbolt goes on the door ($100), and next time the unit turns over it will be repainted ($600).

It was sided before I moved out, has been re-painted inside, and has been recarpeted.

The big items in this rehab includes:  -- landscaping - trim trees, remove weeds  -- remove popcorn ceiling, interior paint  -- kitchen/master bath/guest bath - replace counter top and sinks, re-paint cabinets, replace lighting and appliances (kitchen only)  -- garage - replace garage door, remove existing carpet (yes, 50% of the garage is covered in carpet), paint  -- doors - replace all doors   Would really appreciate your recommendation(s)! 

Aly NA I thought those tubs could be repainted or refinished.  

It’s very hard to match paint, you’re better off just repainting houses.
