Grant Cardone says buying a house is for suckers?
Popular real estate investor Grant Cardone says buying a house is for suckers.
Interesting point of view from someone who owns a real estate portfolio estimated at $350 Million.
Is this sincere advice or does Grant just want to make sure there is an ample supply of tenants to rent to?
Do you think he owns the house he lives in or rents it?
What are your thoughts?

It's one persons opinion.
What works for him and how he chooses to live his life might not be ideal for someone else.
You can dissect capital allocation decisions a bunch of different ways. Some people just want their house to be paid off and own it period. Others are fine holding debt on the property with a fixed mortgage. Others want to rent to stay nimble.
I have seen some people sell and move every 2 years to take the gain exclusion of the primary residence. I like staying where I am at.
The reality is it is your money and your life to live it how you define as optimal.
I do agree that people using their primary residence as an ATM or piggy bank is the wrong idea. The problem with renting with a primary is you are at the mercy of that owner and having to move etc. when they want to do something with their property. If you talk to any wife with a family you are not most of the time going to get a positive response to living day to day in the unknown as to what will happen...lol
