Realize there will be a cost but also realize the value in a highly appreciated property in CA and the consequences of selling.  

If you feel the need for in-person mentorship, reach out to prominent local investors and try and strike a deal to learn from them.

With the future being so uncertain I realized there was a need to do more than just rely on my job for financial security.

And I also realized that we would have to re-tool our operations, which are 100% specialized to the type of property we have.So you don't have to go bigger, unless you want to.

@Kasey Hardt very interesting,  didn't realize this was a pattern but even I've got friends that are getting recruited to the area for medical device startups etc, so could be a very interesting trend to watch.

I'm a 20x AirBnb superhost who realized I have more productive uses of my time than hosting directly.

the only thing with that is protecting future landlords.. but then again thats a personal choice..
