For my own portfolio diversification I want investments on the risk spectrum, some high risk, some medium risk, many low risk.

Also, our portfolio is very heavily concentrated in RE, diversification is seen as a positive at this point. 

I don't know anything about Spark.syndications are a diversification strategy, not a beginner strategy. 

You can sell one and buy several (a diversification exchange). 

I have some stocks and crypto just for the purpose of diversification.

Diversification is a business strategy for risk aversion.

@Wesley BryantHistorical figures showed real estate and the markets are very similar for returnsIf you are more active as an investor then their is opportunity for higher returns just as if you wanted to be more active in the market.The reason why it might be worth one or the other is diversification and investing in non correlating assets.I invest in real estate because (I think) I know what I am doing - and for stocks that is not my specialty.

. $5mil in RE and $5mil in REIT's/stocks gives you great diversification, liquidity, and cash flow in my opinion.
