My very last mold threat, city investigation, zoning violation issue was a tenant who made good money at GEICO but had an old unpaid traffic violation from another state creep up into a warrent for his arrest, that ended up with his uninspected car being impounded.

I am all for the popo to arrest people for this !!!

As to tenants in the basement - we arrest people for this kind of thing in Ohio.

In addition, since I like to hire local crew on projects, at least 75% of the folks I found had arrest/conviction records.

Warn them that if there is any damage you will have them arrested!

I'm curious if any other landlords have encountered anything like this.Basically, in the new ordinance, if my tenant gets arrested for pot smoking or one of their kids gets cited for underage drinking, I can't be a landlord in town for 3 years?

So we both ended up taking a "written arrest" ticked and were given a court date to appear.....after stressing and replaying everything over my head again and again and again, i finally came to a realization that the same piece he initially grabbed from my buddy's lap was the same piece he claimed to have found in my bag...
