I have been interested in real estate investing since I was a teenager, but I have yet to buy my first property.

I became inspired to invest in real estate thanks to my father who handed me "Rich Dad Poor Dad" when I was a teenager, and who has income properties in Queens and Brooklyn.

Then, later on, I'll look into multi-family properties and consider fix and flips.I've managed to save up a nice sum of money working throughout my teenage years and early twenties.

My mother was a high school drop out, had 2 children as a teenager, was on welfare a lot of her life.

@Theresa Harris I should mention that since the birth of their new baby they have: 2 parents, 1 teenager, 3 kids under 3 yrs all living in a 2bd/1ba duplex.
