Newbie from Queens, NY

Hi All!

My name is Isabella, I'm a Human Capital consultant (a year out of college) living in Glendale, NY. I became inspired to invest in real estate thanks to my father who handed me "Rich Dad Poor Dad" when I was a teenager, and who has income properties in Queens and Brooklyn. I found the Bigger Pockets Community thanks to @Account Closed - thanks for the shoutout in your New Member intro post! I've already started by watching the BP webinars, listening to podcasts, and have been reading any real estate and investing book I can get my hands on. 

I'm looking to gain as much as I can from the wealth of knowledge and experience within the site and its members, and to build a strong network of people who have been in my position. I would like to buy my first property with a low money down option (yes, I'm reading @Brandon Turner's book), and need to overcome the initial hurdle of fear and uncertainty as I dive into this new world of REI. Bring it on!
