There are only three instances where it makes sense to buy solar panels for your house.1 - You are living off grid. 2 - You live in a state that has sky high electric costs AND great tax insensitive.3 - You have lots of money, don't care if you are paying more, and want to feel like you are saving the planet (even though you really are not).

The short-term effects will be seen by a plethora of homes coming on the market for far less than we have ever seen and on the opposite end of the spectrum with higher/dryer homes escalating in prices - I hate to sound insensitive, but clever investors will have a lot of opportunities.

Agh - I think my post may have come off as a little insensitive; I'm more concerned about finding additional information on the delays/re-inspections/costs associated with extended contract periods rather than making a buck at someone expense.Given that we may have to delay our closing, I'm curious if anyone has experienced similar scenarios where they were required to re-inspect, re-appraise, etc. following a hurricane strike.

BTW I don't believe in ghosts (although those who do believe in ghosts are free to do so and disagree accordingly), but I don't want to be politically ghost believer insensitive and tell her she's crazy.
