Investing in an area hit by a natural desaster. Yes or No?
I hope this isn't to insensitive.
I was looking at a few properties in Mexico Beach and Port Saint Joe prior to their recent tragedy.
How does this type of event affect the market in that area?
What is the process of reconciling afterwards?
Do people and/or businesses have a history of rebuilding?
What happens to the parcels of land ?
I'm looking for some advice from others whom may or may not have dealt with this experience or who might have other insights as to what direction I should go with those properties.
Thank you in advance for any and all help!!
