It is very disruptive to a family, AND there might not be another available Section 8 rental for them to move into.

They also will move the location of buttons that you interact with, which disrupts workflow routines that you have and makes the day-to-day harder.

Knowing that people can come visit and not completely disrupt everyday life is an amenity some people will be willing to pay for.

Try to find contractors who will do the work quickly to minimize the disruption.
