You mostly want someone familiar with Virginia and New York tax laws so that they will know there is an issue when the states' tax laws are not in conformity with the federal rules.Virginia does have an "Other State Tax Credit"; they require that you provide attach a copy of the other state's tax return to your Virginia tax return and then you will receive a tax credit for your payment to the other state (New York).

Or can I apply the same principle to the ongoing PMI that I pay each month to determine if refinancing under a higher interest rate would still be more lucrative than my current mortgage with PMI attached?

On flat roofs you have to look at poles, HVAC etc. attached to the roof.When contractors do not install properly they can leak from the bolts put in the roof, bad flashing,etc.Flat roof you usually get core samples to see the quality underneath the most recent layer put on.

In particular: "Realtor Only" or "Agent to Agent" Remarks - typically a freeform text field where agents can share details and amplifying information that they do not want to share directly with the public, and Attachments - It's pretty common for most due diligence information (seller's disclosures, surveys, rent rolls, operating statements, proformas, etc) to be included as MLS attachments.

We live in San Jose, CA and the redfin estimate of the house is about 1 million (I understand this is not the most accurate pricing, but it gives you a general idea what the house is worth).What we are considering is taking out another Home Equity Loan to renovate the house and add an attachment (450-499 sqr ft.).
