The more emotion you can take out the better, but in the early stages of doing deals, it is almost impossible. 

Well, I am officially past the "paralysis by analysis" stage, and made my first offer on a property, which has been accepted.

I am in the preliminary stages and I am looking for some guidance and perhaps some known pitfalls that I can avoid.

Just an informal happy hour setting with like-minded people in all stages of their investing careers.

What stage are you?

I suppose the same could happen if you make a large investment in the "seed" stages (is that what it's called) of an up and coming business and have a say in how it is run and other decisions.

I already spoke with @Phineas Howie about this earlier but will publicly state my opinion for the benefit of others.I do not consider medical collections because they are extremely common and I have no way of knowing what stage they are in.
