I’ll reiterate that county assessments don’t mean anything except to battle property taxes.

As I read through the books, there is the notion of things that people viewing homes get turned off from, smells, cleanliness, etc. 

@Paul Wiseman, wood and laminate will suck up smoke smells, too.

They are big burly guys that smell like diesel fuel, drive jacked up 4x4s, chew tobacco in their sleep, and have a neck tat of a scorpion.

I'm currently trying to find if there is anything on the sale that wasn't disclosed when i purchased the house.If you have purchased the home, you are likely limited to damages and possibly a legal battle to obtain the damages.  

Hello everyone, I got a phone call from my tenant last week that water is coming out from a pipe outside the house and it makes the house smells. 

 $1000 sounds like it’s ready for demolition and a battle with code enforcement.

The judge said we didn't attach copies of everything, despite the clerk saying it wasn't needed since it's a default, it seemed like the judge is giving the former tenant every single opportunity and none to us.What say you, similar experiences with an uphill battle?

Would I be able to paint the ceiling with dewaxed shellac to cover the smoke stain ,(and smell) without cleaning?

I've seen you've done some selling, listing, or whole-selling in the past based on your listings here.I'm always looking to help someone out or share knowledge but am just trying to figure out why this pattern seems to be repeating itself.I'm not judging you, because we all go through our own battles,  but your posts seem very vague in general about the current situation.
