For example in my are of Buffalo market I can now estimate insurance pretty accurately based on size and age of the home.

I'm looking into investing and helping others invest as an agent (once I get my license - I live in long island) in multi and single family homes in upstate ny (syracuse, rochester, buffalo, etc.), and was looking for any advice in these markets based on prior experience. 

Last time I checked, Rochester is just as much of a gold mine as Buffalo, NY.

Since we need to pay for this both in permit costs and with contractor costs, we'd really like to know if we have any option to perhaps run just to the b box (buffalo box where water can be shut off in the parkway) for the other property.
