The really cool thing about BP is that they are not 'anonymous first name only" references. 

Sufficiently sized Umbrella policy and/or anonymity via trust ownership is a more sensible option for protecting smallish portfolios IMHO.I also agree with @Gary Wright in that it would be far more advantageous financially to just move out of state, but the wife assures me I'd be moving alone :) She like many simply aren't willing to leave the ocean and the unbelievable weather.

Therefore, a living trust provides no asset protection for the trustmaker.Setting up a Holding Company LLC in a state where there is anonymity (Wyoming) is great, however, privacy is really the only additional thing you are achieving.

@Adelaide Ning If you are looking for anonymity, then I would recommend using a combination of an LLC and a land trust. 

People brokering real estate illegally and hiding under the cover of anonymity are just like cockroaches that scurry from the light. 

The good thing is some groups let you post anonymously so I have been doing that for now.

I would recommend a traditional LLC, ideally with anonymity, set up in the state where you plan on doing business.

ALL of these can be manipulated because ALL rely on the integrity and honest of anonymous strangers for feedback.Getting your information directly from an identifiable person with provable ties to the target company will always be your most reliable approach!
