If I sunk $500k into a place and only got back $50/month total then I'd be pretty upset.

@Scott Keen   Sorry for all your drama, doesnt sound fun.Appears you have it figured out, but I was going to 2nd and 3rd what the others had said - include both names, thats what we do when paying insurance claims - sometimes one party gets upset if they are not on good terms with the other party and vice versa, however legally if the policy is in both their names both need to be paid, I'd assume the same principle would easily apply to a lease document.  

Downsides of this partnership for the flipper are basically if the project runs over budget and/or the sales price is much lower than anticipated to the point that they are making very little if anything for all the time invested in the project, also if the money doesn't pay the contractors, a bunch of upset contractors and severe damage to their name.

Being new to the game, I don't know if that would hurt peoples feelings, or upset realtors I work with. 

But I am upset because he really has financially pushed us into a checkmate.

I was very upset and contemplated backing out of the deal, but the owner (who is a private lender) was willing to do an owner finance deal with me.

The "protecting commissions" statement was for those posts and responses I have read here on BP from commission based professionals upset with wholesalers for what they do.

Ever gone out with your family and see drunk and obnoxious kids, or a husband out of control and you look at your own kids and say wow what a mess, or think to yourself do I ever get that out of control when I'm the upset husband ?
