We want to ensure we bring the most value to the attendees and the speakers.

for Portland folks I always recommend the Rarebird meetups.. these actually have great content and guest speakers . the casual meetups around town to me personally are not worth fighting through the traffic.. its more social time.so if want want to go a meeting that has some real content and run by a couple of sharp investors this is the one to go to in my mind.

If the REIA meetings are what you intend on going to - which I personally don't make it out to too many of them, as I get bombarded with emails & people trying to sell me stuff, I'd skip out on a lot of the speakers and just network.

However, I'm in town for this event (I'm a Mark Dotzour -- the main speaker --  fanboy)So if anyone else is going to this, let me know.

Do not assume that attendees at say, "Waltham" are looking to invest only in Waltham, people drive based on the composition of attendees and the topic presented by the speaker, if there is one.3.

The monthly general meetings may have speakers with something to sell, but they also share valuable info for free in the meeting.
