Best education options? Noob looking to do dup/tri/quad buy/hold
I've been ghosting this forum for a few years and have committed to make 2019 the year to get my education together and buy my first property!
I'm a 41 year old corporate career woman looking for exit strategy, either long term invest and/or short term cash properties to advance my exit.
Not really interested in SFH, would like to spread risk and cost across multiple tenants. For a starter, looking for a tri or quad plex, perhaps moving into small commercial apartment properties after I get my feet wet.
I am a sponge ready to soak up everything!! I am planning to attend meetings/networking sessions with REIA and/or NTREIA groups.
I would love to take a few days off to take a formalized class learning the basics. I don't want a fly by night, out of town seminar, but something legit. Seems there is a lot of snake oil out here....
What do you guys recommend?
TIA--Amber

@Amber Terry I would recommend you skip the seminars and purchase/get from the library every good book on real estate investing you can find. If you like the idea of multifamily, I always recommend the "Complete Guide to Buying and Selling Apartment Buildings" by Steve Berges. This was the book that got me started. I am sure many other BP members can recommend good books.
Honestly, with the amount of free education that is available on BP, I cannot imagine paying for education.
