That's completely unfair.I suggest going to the board members and asking them to require that any current rentals be terminated within a year unless the ban is lifted.

I find the new ones usually are started by those that want to make money from the people attending so they are self serving or they were banned, removed from existing groups for being.. well self serving.

You are correct, you did not say to commit loan fraud.HUD states:"You may only break the owner occupant requirements if you relocate or establish residency in an area outside reasonable commuting distance from his/her current principal residence.FHA security instruments require a borrower to establish bona fide occupancy in a home as the borrower’s principal residence within 60 days of signing the security instrument, with continued occupancy for at least one year.Important: Under no circumstances may investors use the exceptions described in the table above to circumvent FHA’s ban on loans to private investors and acquire rental properties through purportedly purchasing “principal residences.”

As mentioned, get authorization to talk to the ban, or a good first step is to simply be with her when she calls her bank, verifies who she is, gives permission for the bank to talk to you, and hands you the phone.

One word of warning, which I'm starting to see quite a lot is that the short term rentals are coming under fire and some cities/counties are banning them all together unless it's a commercial zone or something like that.
