I keep a Chromebook in my car (because I run on PC/Android) insead of my laptop.The risk of carrying a laptop with a harddrive is too big for me.

I use Chrome on PC and have never seen an issue like you describe.

Your best play with getting started would be to pick up a copy of this book (or snag it at your local library if you're into that sort of thing) and learn the basic.

While you are doing that, listen to every podcast on BP, read every real estate book you can find at the public library, and start going to REIAs in your local area. 

Most manufacturers also include a fully managed option where the cards are issued and recharged at your leasing office via a a PC connection and swipe system someone has to be present to run.

Remember, if all of us dingbats (I think I can still use that word and the PC police haven't taken away our rights), have done it, no reason you can't do it too!
