If you did would you do it cheaper than a bank would do it for someone who's entire career, probably not. 

I had a career as a Paralegal before getting into RE.Instead of “getting playful in the dark”, hire a Private Detective.

I have a stock portfolio, and sock away on a monthly basis way more than 50% of my after-tax take-home pay.It has taken me years and years to get to this position, a position that I consider to be very solid at this point in my life/career.

We both have had great careers and always had everything we needed, but something about getting up every morning and going to a job that is not fulfilling really eats at me.

Cons: It can take longer to find a suitable tenant, there tends to be less appreciation (unless a neighborhood is improved which would in turn likely improve the grade of the neighborhood), and C-class tends to have more issues like litter, vandalism,  and crime than higher-grade areas.
