Most members I see here seem to advertise intelligent application of focus versus simple spam to achieve numbers.

They see someone from California (my opinion) and just hit "delete" or it goes into a spam folder somewhere.  

Yes, the new notification are useless spam.

I'm also suddenly getting spammed from realtors I've known in those areas, presumably because it actually is that slow and they are trying to drum up business all of a sudden.

Around here a group called CAUSS (citizens against ugly street spam) will cut off half your phone number or plaster it over with their stickers.

I deal mainly in one zip code, guess what, I know the values in that zip code better than most,,,,when I get a wholesale deal in that zip code and the ARV listed is 25% over the real ARV, I mark it as spam and I don't see any other deals from that wholesaler.
