Median type tenants and affluent expect certain things usually more than low income.Low income however has income stability issues and tend to be more unstable and have additional wear and tear on the properties due to living lifestyle.

It may be your wife's lack/unstable of work history/income.

Before you say, why not, what's the harm, let me explain that the wife is, unfortunately, suffering from dementia and she's extremely unstable, difficult, and paranoid, so there's something to be said for keeping a low profile and not rocking the boat.

I had it inspected as well and basically the structure is unstable.
