The reason behind this is your LLC is a different legal entity than you - so when you represent your LLC you are not representing yourself pro se, you are representing this other entity even if you are the sole member of the LLC.

In NJ, properties NOT in an LLC can have evictions done "pro se" ("by you, not an attorney, thereby saving you about $400 here in Southern New Jersey" ".Over the past twelve years of doing this, we have our go-to contractors, and keep it updated after old ones no longer give us great service & pricing.

The state initiated an investigation (#4), but then essentially put it on hold pending the outcome of #2#2 dragged out for about a year because the tenants were pro se in the court and the judge gave them A LOT of latitude.
