I believe such a project in the right place could be a honey pot, but it is a 2 to 5 yr investment before seeing any profit. 

But back to reality...I have a family member who has basically inherited and let a duplex and triplex go completely to pot.

This is the future we are living NOW, we are frog's in a pot. 

Aside from my banks, I just want to know what it is because I want mathematical confirmation that the crux of my actions over the course of a year (I actually track it about every few months if I'm not submitting it to someone) are contributing to rather than subtracting from my pot of gold.

But I believe that, on paper, this app does actually do most of the stuff I said I wanted in a property management product.All that said, if you are comfortable using an app for everything, and/or if you have a pot of money you wouldn't mind rolling the dice on to earn 6-8% interest, by all means give it a shot.

Another idea perhaps more leverage than anything would be the threat of a forced sale where OP would collect first every dollar put into for the property over the years before the pot is split.

I was thinking about putting a big pot with lemongrass or something right in front of the window so it just blocks enough that maybe the dog will shut up and she can still have her air in her window.
