Experts are amazing at pointing out things that you haven't thought of, but they have their "entrenchment blinders" on (the old "it can't be done because this is not how it's done".)So unless they point out something I haven't thought of, I will consider their opinion as much as I would the opinion of anyone else.So far, I have not received a single convincing argument about why this would be more risky than a standard house hacking play.

Maui has a pretty entrenched property management industry, so, absolutely no issues finding someone to manage properties.What I look at is the 20-50% cut, and rather than what does MY time cost on my property, what do THEY cost ME.I'm still just a small-timer, so the time I spend on managing from the mainland is what makes the entire endeavor worthwhile.
