Greetings from Long Island, NY,
My journey into the world of real estate investing is just beginning, and I'm thrilled to connect with like-minded individuals. By day, I'm deeply entrenched in software technical support, specializing in automation, troubleshooting, and top-notch customer service. Personally, I've been blessed with a wonderful family – my wife, Lisa, and our two children. Family is my motivation for pursuing real estate investments and obtaining financial freedom - allowing me to spend more precious moments with them.
Over the past two months, I've been consuming real estate knowledge voraciously. I've devoured books like "How to Invest in Real Estate," "Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat," and "Wealth Without Cash." I've also embarked on an auditory journey, listening to over 50 episodes of the BiggerPockets Real Estate Podcast, starting from episode #1. On my reading list, I have titles such as "Flipping Houses," "Estimating Rehab Costs," "Long Distance Real Estate Investing," "The Book on Investing in Real Estate with No (and Low) Money Down," and "Raising Private Capital."
I'm contemplating the idea of pursuing a real estate agent's license as a way to contribute value in future collaborations.
When it comes to my goals, financial freedom is the ultimate dream. I'm open to exploring various strategies, but my initial focus will likely be on locating deals, collaborating with experienced individuals to expand my knowledge, building a robust network, and establishing credibility. Fix and flips and the intriguing BRRRR strategy (Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat) hold my interest, although I'm aware that New York might not be the ideal market for BRRRR, so I may need to look elsewhere.
I'm genuinely thrilled to be a part of this community and eagerly anticipate collaborating with each and every one of you. Let's navigate the world of real estate together and forge lasting connections!

Welcome Gregg! Great start to your reading and listening list. It is definitely possible to invest here on Long Island but it takes some creativity and patience. Let me know if I can help in any way. Tyler
