I'd done some reading in the past and thought a few of the main Canadian banks had such specialty trust divisions that could help you with plan setup.As for finding investments, networking with other investors, real estate agents, etc. is the way to go.Brian, from what I've heard is that CAN banks  make it extremely difficult to setup.

I have some exposure to real estate investing as I work as a commercial lender.

I recently moved to the DFW area and want to get involved in real estate in the near future (looking to buy a property in the next 6 months to a year).

Working this backwards, what I see is a 3rd party trying to benefit from another’s house via rental cashflow, My only business is 30+ years as probate estate and trust lending in CA.

A partner and I, both of who work a full time job, are looking to get into real estate investing.

I've helped people with SBA loans to purchase real estate for a business, but for buying rental real estate, the DSCR loan is a much better option.

Investing in real estate is a long term way to build wealth.

But then you put more money down (for less leverage) and there goes the opportunity cost of a lot of over investments as well as your liquidity.
