I wouldn't invest in the poorest neighborhoods as those properties will be very difficult to manage.Personally, I like investing in cities where population and jobs are growing, something easily scouted online.

These seem to be places like Hungarian Village, Merion Village, Reeb-Hosak, Vasor Village, Southern Orchards, Driving Park, Franklinton, North Linden, Old Oaks.I bought a place in Hungarian Village, in less than 8 months it more than doubled in value (with a little work) and is net cash flowing more than $1,800/month.I'm heading next week to Columbus to scout my first out-of-state investment property.
