If they get served by a lawyer, or even get a letter from a lawyer, or a letter with the right legal language, they may decide it's cheaper to pay out, rather than litigate.Bottom line is it may be worth your while to have the contract reviewed by a lawyer and look at the angles.

I think you have two options...the first being that you let him repair it, provide receipts, and include contract language that it's repaired to your satisfaction.
