So when i discovered a distressed property just a few blocks from my house I jumped on it, and purchased it outright for cash from a wholesaler. 

Almost all have been blocked off inside, some as in my case have been boarded over leaving just the 1920s mantel.

I'd have to learn how to do comps (block by block can be different in many city's) and learn what to do to the property to get the most value.Luckily for me, I was a GC for 20 years and thus did TONS of work in major cities.

I'm not too worried about the price point, but I don't want to see block after block of houses and yards that are trashed. 

If they harass me, I put them on block, and with google voice, they get the "this phone has been disconnected" message with the chime.

Its very block to block.

We pick it up from there and immediately deposit the rents into our business checking account at a credit union three blocks away.

It's in a very desirable area: 1 block from "restaurant row", 1.5 blocks from train stop (BART), 2 blocks from freeway entrance, and 3 miles (15min car ride) from UC Berkeley.
