As to RE guru books, they are there to sell, not really teach, although some have good info, many have way too much hipe and are simply inaccurate.As Josh mentioned, read the forums and get an idea of what you are interested in.Then, I suggest you go to a college book store and get some text books!

Seems to me like a disportionate amount in the business and economic section of the book store.

One thing I do is sit in our local book store and read until my eyes water.

However you can with a little effort and by spending time at your library or used bookstore save your self hundreds of dollars by simply reading some of the best books out there.

Go to the bookstore or library and read multiple books on RE investing.

I took this book out to try and see if I could pick up a tip or two before trying to write direct mail, and I'm returning it and going straight to the bookstore to buy my own copy.
