Ease and convenience is worth it's weight in gold.

Investing out of state requires a great deal of trust, and if you find the right PM, they are worth their weight in gold.The one that I have I sent an expensive bottle of scotch when he pointed me to a deal that has really catapulted my investment returns.

I know how to do drywall, but between the weight of the sheets and the absolute mess I make when I do it, I hire that job out. 

And then they used the weighted average to tally up the scores.

I agree, @Joe Gore - a good GC is worth their weight in gold and I would gladly pay the money for someone who can do the work quickly and do it well.

If people around here such as yourself use it, then it should be worth its weight in gold and saved headaches.

But having that extra cash to take care of those three items you mentioned would be a huge weight off of you and set you up better for future success.

I love my 1920's home: cast iron pipes, lathe/plaster, window weights and all :)
