The husband finished repairs on 15 feet of rotted sill plate, two bad piers and a cracked support beam today.  

In '21 and '02 most houses are on pier & beam foundations that are cheaper to fix.  

Imagine that every house is built with a frame made of concrete--and rebar steel of course-- (beams and columns), and supported by either individual concrete foundations on each column, or a slab foundation.  

We did have to add some beams for adequate structure support.

Do keep your eye on how things work with both while using laser focus on one or the other.

At the age of 64, too often I reflect back on years of missed opportunity to propel my career forward....if I discovered and honed my passion early on and moved forward with a laser-beam like "focus". 

Also, the footings with the main beam may have to be redone.
