It's possible that a tenant might hire someone from less secure sources like Craigslist, leading to situations that could range from property theft to physical assault.Moreover, there's the additional worry about the safety of vulnerable household members, such as children, if the tenant happens to hire someone with a criminal record, for instance, a registered sex offender.

Currently I have a Nest cam on it so if we get any rain, I can monitor it from my phone and listen in/watch to make sure it's starting.  

Your lender would have to check with the CAM of the building you want to purchase in order to know which category it would fall into.

This is my least favorite tenant, always pays rent late (but does pay), rent is lower than other tenants (but higher than Cricket), doesn't want to pay the NNN portion that they underpay whenever we do CAM recon.

I have a friend who accepted a suspicious reservation that indeed turned out to be for sex work.

I absolutely WOULD have a camera on a pool area or a hot tub simply for liability protections but thats just me.We always cover each exterior entrance into the property plus the driveway and garage doors if applicable and I have a doorbell cam as well at each property. typically 3-4 cams at each property max.

Most of the STR investors I know and work with use the Ring doorbell and floodlight cams on the exterior.

It'll tell you if they have any criminal history/sex offender etc. etc.If they are red flagged Safely informs you and if you don't want the reservation Safely will email them on your behalf.
