Christophe,You need to first start with how much money you have to invest in the United States.If you have large quantities of money 500k, 1million etc. then more doors open up for you. 

There'd have to be sufficient reason for them to sell and you to buy. 

Was it the quantity of money you were asking for rather than your credit score that was the problem?

I mean it was because of the “unsafe condition” of the rental dwelling and not the massive quantities of alcohol they imbibed that was the cause, right?
