Here in Abilene, you can't go wrong with a cheap housing market (30K - 70K for rental properties), 3 1/2 (the half being a junior college) colleges and an air force base.

THE SHOW FLIP THIS HOUSE IS DECEIVING AND THOSE SO CALLED WE MADE THIS MUCH PROFIT CLAIMS ARE AN EXAGGERATION, i LIVE IN SAN ANTONIO AND THE SO CALLED ROACH HOUSE THEY FIXED, IS UP FOR RENT, THE FENCE IS CHEAP AND THE FLOWER BUSH DOES NOT EXIST, THEY ARE TRYING TO MAKE WHAT THEY DO GREAT, BUT IF YOU DECEIVE THE PUBLIC THE WAY THEY DID, THEY DESERVE TO BE TAKEN OFF THE AIR.

That's expensive and depends so much on what you want.Of the houses we did last year, the remodeling costs ran from $28,000 to $60,000 and all involved new roofs, some new Heating and Air, new kitchens etc.

I moved to Abilene about 3 years ago for the Air Force, and started investing about one year ago with a duplex near the base, then another property w/ a garage apartment near a college.

I currently own one rental home (4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath) that I rent out to Air force guys.

Some expenses are apparently vanishing into thin air.

One of the companies we called someone ended up with a copy of the full report he had done that said NO AIR QUALILTY ISSUES.  

This place is a breath of fresh air in the self-serving, screw or be screwed storm of this industry.

Also, this contract places the payment of termite and heating and air letters at the buyer's feet even though it's always been written that the seller will pay (buyer's selects company) in our state.

Check the age of the furnace, hot water heater, stove/ovens, air conditioners, carpenting, tile, etc.
