A policywith a higher premium may be a better deal if it does not have a wind deductible.There are many endorsements that are available on the homeowners policy.

Liberty Mutual insures our SFH STR with a standard HO policy plus their HomeSharing Coverage endorsement, which explicitly allows STR use.  

You typically have the following coverage items and maybe a few added endorsement items.Dwelling coverage, Replacement cost (determined by a replacement cost calculator), Small amount of personal property coverage, Loss of Rents, Premises Liability (max 1 million), Med Pay, Landlord Personal Injury Liability.

I clicked around the site and couldn’t find any official endorsement of it anywhere, let alone direct links.

The Title company is charging me the following fees:-Admin Processing Fee $35-Closing Protection Letter $75-Lender Title Insurance $844-Notice of Settlement $40-Rundown & Record Fee $$20-Settlement Fee $325-Tidelands Search NJ $30-Title Endorsement Fee $$100-Title Examination $100-Title Search Abstract $167-Wire Transfer Fee $25Are these fees customary or is it excessive?

But there are some that use that form, with endorsements, to cover rented units also. 

Michael Gao,I prefer not to mention any companies as I prefer not to endorse any of them especially not publicly; however, there have been several discussions on very reputable companies that can be used.

I hope this makes sense, we have a second home, we have our space upstairs(not rented) and made the basement into a studio STR.We do have an excellent Insurance company for full coverage on the home but they will not write an endorsement for a STR.

So there is bias, just like the vendors who post on these forums endorsing services they offer.
