You always hear about cops or firemen/women losing their job, because they did something that may be perfectly legal, but can create negative feedback for the Dept.You may not do anything wrong, but I would clear it up with your boss beforehand, as you don't want people to complain to the police.

The group meets once a month and has a variety of sub-groups as well (apartment building owners, rehabbers, a women's group, etc).

Kyle, one more thought, and i'm sure i'll get ripped on this one by the institutional men and women but:It is Bad Strategy to use the equity in your home (HELOC) to buy investment property or discounted notes.

It could say I'm a gang member with tattoos that loves women but if I call you with a deal where you can net $70,000 what does it matter.
