What is customary, what is expected, fair, etc. ?

They told me that they did this because they felt it was " fair " based on the fact that the tenant moved into the house, then had a wheelchair, and did not request from me to change anything within the home such as wider doorways for wheelchair, and under a specific law I would have been required to make such changes and " didn't have to." 

They're also expecting an official offer on the second property soon.If everything goes smoothly I'm obviously glad that my money isn't gone, but I don't think that excuses the lack of communication and inability to respond to LPs.

Point is that you can treat all parties fairly, but there could be some seller’s remorse especially if you do a good job at increasing the value.  

As far as they communicated, no other funds or syndications have asked for the capital call, only Fund I. 

Consequently the students do not fair so well.

Which is fair everyone does.

None of these changes were communicated until right before closing.

All communications have to be through email, which is some cases is great, but in others it is horrificly time-consuming and inefficient.
