I am a rookie investor currently living in Ontario, Canada and I was recently made aware of the medium-term rental strategy through a Bigger Pockets Podcast. 

I have a 2 bed 1 bath SFH, new build, new small neighborhood, pool, fenced yard, fully furnished.After 3 years long term we will go short term, but i think medium is better.It is on Bonaire, Dutch Caribbean.

He looks for medium term renters, like families who are moving to town.

If your area has solid short term rental demand that could be the best option but if not perhaps a medium term rental or long term rent by the room?

That and a workman to install them would not exceed 1k for a medium kitchen.

I recently listed a room in my primary residence as a Medium Term Rental. 

Now I'm looking to move things forward and start actually advertising.Has there been a particular medium that you have found good luck with for advertising services?

You could always look at medium term rentals as well..not sure if you're near any hospitals, but you could cater to a travel nurse.Also, if you really wanted to capitalize on the revenue, YOU could live in the basement, and STR the top floor.  

And if so can I rent it out in the meantime for like 6 months If a medium/short term rental is allowed in the area?
