Is Airbnb Arbitrage a no or a go??

Considering starting with an airbnb arbitrage business for cashflow. Wondering if the downsides are worth it, and which markets I should be looking at!

I have a contact in Sioux Falls who is making it work in this non-touristy market. He looks for medium term renters, like families who are moving to town. He is making it but the margins are tight - he has to pay his master lease rent and then the Air BnB cut. To be successful, you'll need a lot of properties managed, in my opinion. You also have the added headache of dealing with the owner's whims when your lease term is up.
