Based on some reviews i narrowed it down to the CEShop, Temple university Real estate school, and Polley. 

A house I was looking at was once owned by someone who worked for the university in some STEM related job (they moved, and the house sat on the market, and then foreclosure) on Cross st.

We were approaching our finals weeks at our University and our lease was coming to an end - so to save us the stress of trying to find an apartment in the middle of that (we had a very limited budget,) they offered for us to stay with them for a month or two for free.

My parents are realtors in Tallahassee, where I'm from, and they inspired me to start investing.Told me about buying small condo homes to use as cash cows.Interior is all upgraded appliances, and the unit is near Florida State University.

I currently reside in New York City, but I spent the first 27 years of my life in the upstate of South Carolina (went to college at Clemson University).

Or what if global warming/wildfires are worse than predicted, or a major employer leaves the area(think Kodak/Rochester, car manufacturers/Detroit, etc.)

Another way I’ve seen landlords and homeowners prepare for the freezing temperature is installing a plumbing system that keeps the hot water flowing constantly to keep the pipes warm.

I am a student in university, fairly new to REI and busy learning about my local market where I plan to invest.I am in the process of saving for loan down payment since I aim to first acquire a rental or more ideally do a house-hack when I am able to qualify for a loan (I have not researched private lending yet - any tips would be welcomed for financing options).I have a semester break coming up in which I hope to go out and get a feel for the Cape Town market - open to anything.
