Remington vs. Pigtown for rentals
Hi,
I'm new to the Baltimore market and trying to narrow down a specific area I want to work in. I've heard good things about both Remington and Pigtown and trying to figure out where to start. I am targeting rent-to-price ratios of around 18%-22% and hoping to buy from around $50,000 to $200,000. Want properties that need some rehab as well. What do you think of these two areas for my goals? Somewhere else you'd recommend?
Thanks so much!

I'm in Pigtown and I'm not familiar with Remington.
To me, it's which part of Pigtown are we talking about? I see Cross street as a dividing line. The areas west of Cross are a little .... idk. I haven't really seen my target renter population west of Cross, my target being Med School people.
Unfortunately, my rental has been more of a tax write off this year because of some poor construction chickens coming to roost. So watch out when it comes to rehabs.
