Chicago code requires that all tenants need to be able to access their electrical panel 24/7 unless a dedicated person (engineer/owner) lives there to provide them with that access.

@Jonathan Orr I would always steer to tilt-up as long as you have the space to bring in heavy equipment to maneuver the panels.

Agreed with Amberly - Modal has some great units and is based in Utah (modern style) while Meka has the same modern feel but is customizable (very rare in the pre-fab/panelized world).

My houses have basements with the panel in the basement so its usually pretty easy to run romex from the panel and then up a wall.
