And it looks awful if one side is long.It's not going to be a good "marriage" if you micro-manage your pm for small things like this. 

In the past I did that, basically when my marriages were falling apart!

Partnerships are a closer binding agreement than marriage.

The main reason is you're going to be way over leveraged on your primary residence (since you're debt ratio will be 50% of your gross earnings) and that doesn't make for a happy marriage considering it's your "forever" home and stress from debt is a killer.Try this:  Go to some REIA's and Meet ups in your area.  

You have to do that in order to achieve what he's achieved and it comes with sacrifices:  2 broken marriages, enemies, lawsuits, all that crap. 

We have considerable experience rehabbing as we've bought fixer-uppers as primary residences, added value, then sold and repeated the process every three to five years throughout our marriage.

By the way, my definition of marriage is that you need an attorney to break up.
