We have had to use DAWGS and Dogs on this south side Chicago property lol @Scott Mac and @Jay Hinrichs.Really the DAWGS system is just used to keep squatters out...because of the tough landlord laws here in illinois it pays to keep people out. 

It’s similar if a landlord or another specialized policy is required.

I also hear a lot of how city of chicago is anti landlord on BP, I always tell clients don't buy in a bad area and it will not matter.

Keep it in your name, get insurance, and most of all, be a good landlord.

In my state, the new landlord is required by law to serve a change of landlord notice within 15 days of assuming ownership.
