I have an opportunity to purchase a lot (.25 acres) in a very prominent part of Las Vegas.  

It is difficult to get both.One area not mentioned in this thread thus far (though I have said it many times in other threads) is Las vegas.

I’m thinking of buying a 2bd condo or a small multi-family unit in Las Vegas as my retirement home.

Within a couple years I would like to buy a condo in Las Vegas as a vacation property for myself.

Now, I am living in Las Vegas, and these would be OOS deals, but i think just about all investors know the Ohio market is THE market to go to for right now.

I can relate to your idea, 1.5 year ago we travelled to Maui Hawaii (I’m living in Las Vegas and from Oahu Hawaii) we fell in love in Maui and made decision to come back as much as possible and possibly move to Maui down the road.
