I have a friend who has decided to breed and sell a certain breed of dogs.

Not sure how many Fraternity Men there are on BP, but wanted to see if anyone had ever tried anything like this before.Obviously college kids are not the ideal tenants for most rentals, but fraternities, especially ones with affluent members tend to breed financial responsibility if not responsibility in general.

We informed the agent that we have a cat currently and was looking into getting a puppy real soon, specifically asking if we should avoid a certain breed(s).

When an industry is unregulated, it breeds problems and people getting taken advantage of, so that's why people don't like it.  

I have a bully breed type dog that will make renting very prohibitive, especially if I need a month to month lease. 

I rescued a mixed breed dog a few years ago and absolutely love her! 

You may just want to go that route in case the conditions worsen and then you can get them out and not be bound by a term.If you can get some kind of pet fee and increased rent upon lease renewal, I say why not.I would put a pet addendum in the renewal however with name, breed, lbs and sex so the two dogs are documented.
